Great Doctors Visit!

Hello!

We had another great doctors visit this morning with Dr. Limosnero!  The babies continue to look great and the heartbeats are strong with plenty of fluid in all of the placentas.  Katie's blood pressure was perfect and she gained three pounds during the past week.  There is little doubt that Katie's belly is getting a little bit bigger now!  We just look at it and laugh!

Her cervix is the same length as it was two weeks ago and still strong.  Baby A (our girl) had her butt pressed right up against her cervix today, we got a great look at her spine and ribs.  They did do a blood test today to determine that Katie's iron level is still high enough for all the babies and herself.  We have next week off from doctors visits, then off to our high risk doctor on Friday, April 10th.  Dr. Limosnero is very happy with the way the babies look and how well Katie is doing so far, that is very encouraging for both of us!

The picture above is a little "top view" of Baby C with HIS head on the left and the body to the right.  The ultrasound machine we were on today at the Dr.'s office did not have the greatest resolution but not a bad shot of the little guy really.  The babies are about the size of a large green pepper, crazy!!

We are looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend together just laying low and hanging out taking it easy!  We hope that all our friends and family are doing well.  We also wanted to continue to thank everyone for thinking about us and praying for Katie and the babies!  We know that the Lord is looking over our family and we are blessed to have the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful gift!

DING! Week 18!

Well, as of today we have made it till Week 18! Exciting! Katie is still doing well and feeling great. She's a bit tired tonight after a long day at work yesterday. She had a PTA meeting after school yesterday and didn't get home till 8:45pm. She got a good nights sleep but I think it is catching up with her tonight, she is out like a light on the couch. She is really doing so great and I am so proud of her!!

We have our last parenting class at church tomorrow night. They are having guest speakers to talk about financial planning and post partum depression as well as the normal classwork. This class has been a great thing for us and we're both real glad that we took part in the class. Our church is so great to offer these kinds of opportunities to its members, we are truly blessed to be members of Fellowship Church!

Our next doctors visit is Friday morning. We'll get another look at the heartbeats and another good measurement of Katie's cervix. Looking forward to that...

Katie and I had a real nice weekend together, we ran a bunch of errands on Saturday, as well as spending almost 2 hours in Babies R Us. Holy cow. Holy cow! I never thought we would get out of there! At the one hour mark we were in the back of the store crashed on the rockers with our feet up, getting ready for round 2! I think we finally got a decent handle on what we both think and expect what we need after our visit. Fortunately we both have the same taste and expectations on this stuff...

I think it is pretty safe to say that we have also have a pretty good handle and idea on the names for the babies. Unless something hits us out of the blue, I think they are set. Its going to be interesting to see if they stick for another three months! We are going to keep them a secret till the babies are born and we can't wait to share them with everyone!

OK, that is it for tonight, stay tuned for an update on Friday after our doctor's appointment!

17 Weeks Down!

Wow, it is really crazy to believe that we are already through 17 weeks of this pregnancy!

We went to the Dr. today, our normal OBGYN, Dr. Limosnero for our weekly check up.  The babies are doing GREAT!  They have really moved around and shuffled it up a bit since our check up last week.  They were just all over the place and Dr. Limosnero was challenged a bit determining who was who and getting a good shot at their hearts so that we could get a good beats per minute(bpm) count.  Our girl was at 144 bpm and the boys were at 153 and 155 bpm, which is just perfect.

She decided since Katie's cervix looked so good last week with Dr. Zaretsky, she would skip a cervix measurement this week and just do one next week.  We were cool with that, our next appointment is next Friday.  Katie has been having some headaches on and off all week, the Dr. didn't seem overly concerned but she does want to know if they get any worse.  The meager amount of Tylenol that she can take helps but doesn't completely cure the headaches.

Katie has been on Spring Break this week and has really been taking it easy.  We had a wonderful visit with her folks in Mason last weekend at the ranch.  It was great to see Paul, Judy, Heather and Wes!  I was glad that Katie had the chance to really relax and take a load off this week, I think it will pay off down the road.  We made it out to dinner with friends last night and then to a Parenting Class that we are taking at church.

We are going to start getting some ideas for the nursery together and a list of wants/needs compiled as well.  We're going to start looking at stuff in stores while Katie is still mobile and able to not be confined to a bed or a couch!  We've got a long list of errands to run this weekend!

A continued HUGE thank you to all our friends and family for all the thoughts and prayers for Katie and our babies!  We love you all!
